29 CFR 1910.95(i)(2): The employer did not ensure that hearing protectors were worn by employees whose exposures equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels: Building 1: On or about June 1, 2017, employee operating the Shear without hearing protection was exposed to continuous noise at 75.72% of the permissible daily noise exposure (8-hour Time Weighted Average sound level of 85 dBA) during the 466 minute sampling period. For a full eight hour work shift this exposure is equivalent to an average sound level of 87.9 dBA. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 14 minutes not sampled.
