29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1) When employees were subjected to sound exceeding those listed in Table G-16, The employer did not implement feasible administrative or engineering controls:    a.) Shop Area - An Employee, fabricating, welding and grinding metal supports towers was exposed to continuous noise at 220.0% of the permissible exposure level of 90 dBA or an eight hour time weighted average (TWA) noise exposure of 95.7 dBA. This exposure was observed occurring over a 433 minute sampling period on June 20, 2017. A zero exposure was assumed for the 47 minutes not sampled.  The employer did not develop and implement feasible engineering controls.    b.) Shop Area - An Employee, fabricating, welding and grinding on metal supports towers was exposed to continuous noise at 286.0% of the permissible exposure level of 90 dBA or an eight hour time weighted average (TWA) noise exposure of 98.3 dBA. This exposure was observed occurring over a 434 minute sampling period on June 20, 2017. A zero exposure was assumed for the 46 minutes not sampled.  The employer did not  implement feasible engineering controls.    c.) Shop Area - An Employee, fabricating, welding and grinding, metal supports towers was exposed to continuous noise at 291.0% of the permissible exposure level of 90 dBA or an eight hour time weighted average (TWA) noise exposure of 98.3 dBA. This exposure was observed occurring over a 443 minute sampling period on June 20, 2017. A zero exposure was assumed for the 37 minutes not sampled.  The employer did not implement feasible engineering controls.    Feasible methods of abatement include but are not limited to:       (1) Blocking the ends of the towers when welding and working on them, to reduce noise from emanating out of the towers and effecting other nearby processes.      (2) Isolation of different processes from each other.

Shop Area - An Employee, fabricating, welding and grinding metal support towers was exposed to continuous noise at 220.0% of the permissible exposure level of 90 dBA or an eight hour time weighted average (TWA) noise exposure of 95.7 dBA. Establishment - On or about June 7, 2017, Employees were exposed chemicals such as welding gases and iron fume during welding and grinding operations on metal towers and/or tower parts.  They  were not provided information and training on these hazards exposing them to respiratory and other health hazards.
