29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets. On or about June 22, 2017, employees performing tuck-pointing operations on a commercial property were exposed to struck by hazards while installing flashing when employees worked on two levels when the employer failed to mandate the use of hard hats. No abatement certification or documentation is required of this item.
