29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s): The employer did not remove forklifts from service when repairs were needed to ensure employee safety in that; (a) Komatsu forklift 5867's tires were worn and a light was not operable; (b) Komatsu forklift 5103's horn was not functioning; (c) Komatsu forklift 6281's horn was not functioning, and; (d) Komatsu forklift 4127's tires were worn and in need of replacement. YRC Worldwide Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1092432, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 8th, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 2527 Brodhead Road in Bethlehem, PA 18020.
