29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail: Location: lower level, side entry On or about: 8/23/17 a) Employees used a staircase for access between the lower level and first floor. The stairway, with 9 risers, did not have a handrail. NOTE: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): Location: roof On or about: 8/23/17 a) Employees, installing roof sheathing, were not provided with adequate fall protection. The employees were exposed to a fall of 27'. Note: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to provide abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19 The Jason Gonzales Dba Giant Builders, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1235835, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/6/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 939-941 Amboy Avenue, Edison, NJ 08837.
