29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 10/02/17, on the roof of a house at 38 Linden Avenue, Kenmore, NY: Three employees engaged in roofing work on a steep roof were exposed to a fall of approx. 14 ft. No fall protection system was being used. Pitch of the roof was approx. 6 in 12. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Thumbs Up Roofing & Siding LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1255739, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 09/13/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 71 Mill Street, Williamsville, NY 14221.
