Branch-Circuit Ratings 210.21(B)(2): Total Cord-and-Plug-Connected Load. Where connected to a branch circuit supplying two or more receptacles or outlets, a receptacle shall not supply a total cord-and-plug-connected load in excess of the maximum specified in Table 210.21(B)(2).Max load amperes for 15 amperes receptacle is 12 amperes. Maintenance Shop office area- (a) Employee(s) were exposed to a fire hazard created by numerous devices connected to a 15 ampere branch circuit, which exceeded the maximum total cord-and-plug-connected load rating.
