29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  On or about November 8, 2017, during the replacement of an apartment buildings chimney caps, located at 2885 Pease Drive, Rocky River, Ohio, the employer did not ensure 3 employees working from the buildings roof (walking/working surface) were protected from a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet (3 stories), by utilizing a guardrail system, safety net system and/or personal fall arrest system.      AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION, INS., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1184447, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 001 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OR ABOUT NOVEMBER 18, 2016, WITH RESPECT TO A WORK PLACE LOCATED AT 17603  WHITNEY ROAD STRONGSVILLE, OHIO.
