29 CFR 1926.452(j)(2): Poles were not secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom, top, and other points as necessary. On or about November 28, 2017, employees were exposed to a scaffold collapse while working from a pump jack scaffold that did not have ridged bracing at the bottom section and other points as required by the manufacturer. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

Wiese Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 168119, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 20, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 4803 Lee Ave. Downers Grove, IL 60516. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
