29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: a. On or about December 18, 2017, at the Shaving Mill area, an employee working as machine operator was exposed to a noise dose of 452.5%, or an equivalent dBA (decibels, A weighted scale) of 100.9 dBA. The sampling was performed on for 440 minutes during one work shift on December 18, 2017. The employer did not administer a continuing and effective hearing conservation program as described in paragraph (c) through (o) of the OSHA Hearing Conservation Standard. b. On or about December 18, 2017, at the Shaving Mill area, an employee working as machine operator was exposed to a noise dose of 830.2%, or an equivalent dBA (decibels, A weighted scale) of 105.3 dBA. The sampling was performed on for 422 minutes during one work shift on December 18, 2017. The employer did not administer a continuing and effective hearing conservation program as described in paragraph (c) through (o) of the OSHA Hearing Conservation Standard. c. On or about December 18, 2017, at the Shaving Mill area, an employee working as mill equipment maintenance was exposed to a noise dose of 540.0%, or an equivalent dBA (decibels, A weighted scale) of 102.2 dBA. The sampling was performed on for 433 minutes during one work shift on December 18, 2017. The employer did not administer a continuing and effective hearing conservation program as described in paragraph (c) through (o) of the OSHA Hearing Conservation Standard.
