29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:   A.)  MacLean Saegertown, LLC - On or about 12/20/17, and at times prior thereto, the cold former straightener was not effectively guarded.  The straightening area had pieces of a plexi glass type covering the section but the pieces were hinged at the top and were easily opened to expose the entire area by lifting the covering.  B.)  MacLean Saegertown, LLC - On or about 12/20/17, and at times prior thereto, the metal feeder area for the cold former straightener was not effectively guarded.  The area had a 28 inch opening where employees hand fed the new roll of metal into the straightener.  The moving parts were accessible to employees.
