29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Jobsite, 1101 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963: Observed on or about February 20, 2018, each employee working on a steep roof with a slope of approximately 9 in 12 (vertical to horizontal) was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. An employee was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 20 feet to the ground below while installing a metal roof.
