29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Northumberland County Jail, Coal Township, PA: A temporary mezzanine used by employees to access an upper landing area to perform masonry work and to hoist masonry materials was missing a portion of the guardrail system, exposing employees a 14 foot fall hazard, on or about March 27, 2018. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Keener, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 976110, Citation Number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/18/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 700 Cedar Street, Lewistown, PA
