29 CFR 1910.217(b)(7)(viii): Mechanical power press(es) with clutch/brake control systems which contained both single and continuous functions, were not designed so that in order to initiate a continuous run, a prior action or decision by the operator in addition to the selection of Continuous on the stroking selector, before actuation of the operating means would result in continuous stroking: a) On or about 09/09/2018 un the production area; where the #3 Walsh mechanical power press (asset #P-000-B) did not require a "prior action" before stroking continuously. Once the selector switch was positioned in the continuous mode, the press could be run continuously by depressing and holding down the stroke initiation means. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
