29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On 3/30/2018, employees of Baumstark Roofing Inc. were working on the roof of a commercial building located at 1000 Schroeder Creek Blvd, Wentzville, MO. Employees were engaged in roofing work approximately 11 feet above a lower level. Exposed employees were not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems. The employees were observed on the roof of the building without fall protection, exposing themselves to a fall to the ground below.
