29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): "Roofing work on Low-slope roofs." Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (b) of this section, each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. On 8/27/2018, Baumstark Roofing, Inc. and their subcontractors were installing roofing materials on a roof of a building located at 1201 Lodora Drive in Wentzville, MO. The estimator/supervisor for Baumstark Roofing, Inc. as well as two employees and three subcontractors were working on the roof, which was approximately thirty-five feet above the ground, without the proper use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Baumstark Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1120070 citation number 1, item number 2, issued on 1/26/2016, and was affirmed as a final order on 2/04/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 112 Cypress Meadows Drive in Wentzville, MO.
