29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: BOP FCC, Medical Center Cadre: On or about May 15, 2018, a Belkin re-locatable power tap, designed and listed for being used with high concentrations of low powered loads was instead used with high powered loads such as a mini fridge and Emerson microwave, and was mounted to an interior wall. The U.S. Department of Justice was previously cited a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2), which is contained in OSHA inspection number 1255973, Notice 2 Item 2 and was affirmed as a final order date on March 09, 2017, and was abated. 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: BOP FCC, Unicor Warehouse Sewing Machine Area: On or about May 15, 2018, the employer did not ensure that damaged pedestal fans were removed from service where the power cord strain relief had pulled away from the end plug fitting thereby exposing internal conductors. The U.S. Department of Justice was previously cited a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii), which is contained in OSHA inspection number 1255973, Notice 2 Item 4 and was affirmed as a final order date on March 09, 2017, and was abated.
