29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Jobsite: The employees engaged in roofing activities on the 16 in 12 high pitched residential roof with an eave height of approximately 23 feet above the ground were not protected from fall hazards by the use of guardrails, safety nets, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about May 26, 2018, one of the employees fell from the above residential roof approximately 23 feet to the ground and sustained minor injuries from the incident.
