29 CFR 1910.23(b)(3): Steps on stepstools were not spaced not less than 8 inches (20 cm) apart and not more than 12 inches (30 cm) apart, as measured between the centerlines of the steps; Employees positioning themselves for work on locally made stools were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 18 inches to the ground below in that the stepstools did not include intermediate steps.
