29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems: On or about June 1, 2018, on the roof of a commercial building being constructed where employees were exposed to a fall hazard exceeding fifteen feet when performing steel erection activities without a fall protection system. Leopoldo Barriga dba Barriga Enterprises, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 998220, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 2, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 6902 FM 2920, Spring, TX 77379.
