29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who was on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems: On or about November 27, 2018, five employees were performing steel erection activities on the commercial property under construction and were not protected by any fall protection system, exposing employees to a fall hazard exceeding fifteen feet. Barriga Enterprises, Inc., dba Polo's Construction was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29CFR 1926.760(A)(1), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1319777, Citation Number 1 Item Number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 3, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 8215 FM 1488, Self Storage, Magnolia, TX 77345.
