29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:     The employer is failing to protect employees from the hazards associated with amputations.  This was most recently documented at 600 W. E St. Lincoln, Nebraska on or about July 5th , 2018 when an employee was operating plating machine.  The employee had his finger on the activation button and due to the location of the button received an amputation of the tip of their left thumb.  The button was located in the point of operation.
