At the jobsite located at 10490 Kill Creek Rd, De Soto, Kansas:  Employees engaged in residential roofing activities using a pneumatic nailer were exposed to struck-by hazards in that eye protection was not provided.

Employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to fall and struck-by hazards in that the employer did not maintain an adequate safety program that would ensure a safe and healthful working environment for employees.  CV Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.20(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1260616, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on November 29, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 9230 Rosewood Dr., Prairie Village, Kansas.

CV Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.20(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1260616, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on November 29, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 9230 Rosewood Dr., Prairie Village, Kansas.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  At the jobsite located at 10490 Kill Creek Rd., De Soto, Kansas:  Employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 13 feet and 16 feet from the eaves of the residence to the ground below while accessing and exiting the roof in that the portable ladder did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing.   CV Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.20(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1260616, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on November 29, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at9230 Rosewood Dr., Prairie Village, Kansas.
