29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury: (a) MK1 Construction LLC, at 1340 Main Street, Louisville, CO: On 7/24/18, the employer did not ensure that eye and face protective equipment were used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury. Employees were re-roofing a 4/12 pitch roof of a single story commercial building. Employees used pneumatic nail guns to secure asphalt shingles to the roof. The employer did not ensure that eye protection was used when operating nail guns. This condition exposed the employees to a flying object hazard.
