The program did not enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and did not train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.  On 7/25/2018, Masters Construction was installing trusses on a residential building located on Lot 681 Mule Creek Drive in Wentzville, MO.  An employee was not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems.  He was nailing top and bottom bracing while walking on and within the trusses of the structure approximately nine feet above the ground without fall protection.  The employee was not able to recognize fall hazards and the procedures necessary to reduce or eliminate hazards.

Masters Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 987411, citation number 1, item number 1, issued on 8/05/2014, and was affirmed as a final order on 8/14/2014, with respect to a workplace located a residential building located at 11 Pelican Court in Lake St. Louis, MO.
