29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Graphic Packaging International, Inc. at 1171 West Center Street in Marion, Ohio; On September 3, 2018 after completing make ready on Press 7212, the employer failed to ensure that the adjustable guard was in the correct position to ensure that employees were fully protected from an ingoing nip point between the anilox roll and print plate cylinders on Deck 3 of Press 7212.
