29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. This violation occurred on October 30, 2018, where at least seven (7) employees working on roof without fall protection were exposed to falls of more than 15 feet to the concrete below. Tyler Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1136530, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on May 31, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 419 WSW Loop 323, Tyler, Texas.
