29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area. a) Facility: The employer failed to provide effective training on hazardous chemicals such as but not limited to Paint All Enamel (Spray Paint) (Carcinogen) and nitrogen on or about 11/9/2018. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19. East Coast Steel, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1264724, citation number 1 item number 20d and was affirmed as a final order on 1/9/2019 with respect to a workplace located at 360 Lambs Rd Sewell NJ 08080.
