29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc.: At a facility located at 9001 Business Highway 51, Rothschild, WI 54474; the employer did not provide one or more methods of machine guarding to protect Machine Operator employees from the rotating blade and the moving parts of the Park Industries Sierra saw in Building 3, which exposed employees to the rotating parts and caught between hazards.
