Violation was observed on or about January 16, 2019

29 CFR 1926.651(k)(2): Where the competent person found evidence of a situation that could result in possible cave-in, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions, exposed employee(s) was/were not removed from the hazardous area until the necessary precautions have been taken to ensure their safety: a) Work site was located at Marin Blvd. and Second Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 The designated competent person in charge observed potential cave in hazards as the trench was not fully shored by protective systems. An employee was exposed to those cave in hazards as he worked outside of the protective system that was placed and was not removed from the hazardous condition. Violation was observed on or about January 16, 2019
