29 CFR 1926.28(a): The employer did not require the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions or where this part indicates the need for using such equipment to reduce the hazards to the employees: a) On or about March 18, 2019, and at times prior thereto, employees used nail guns without safety glasses while performing roofing activities. Note: Abatement certification IS required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a) The employer does not ensure that employees use fall protection when exposed to serious fall hazards during roofing work. This condition was most recently observed at a residential job site, Block 1 Lot 2, on March 18, 2019. Workers performing tile roofing activities on a 4 in 12 pitched roof without a fall protection system in place were exposed to fall hazards ranging from 10 to 13 feet from various locations on the roof to the concrete and/or ground below. Note: Abatement certification IS required for this item. Cano Roofing, Inc dba Signature Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1053241, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on June 24, 20155193 Waters Edge, Garden City, Idaho 83714.
