29 CFR 1910.22(c): The employer must provide, and ensure each employee uses, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces. a)An employer did not provide a safe access for employees to install water pipes on the top portion of the engine block of a freight truck assembly line. Employees were in the process of installing water pipes while standing on the steering arm of the trucks, on or about April 17,2019, an employee was stepping down, the right foot became tangled in a wiring harness, as result the employee fell backwards onto head and shoulder.

29 CFR 1910.25(b)(7): The employer must ensure: Standard stairs are used to provide access from one walking-working surface to another when operations necessitate regular and routine travel between levels, including access to operating platforms for equipment; a)The employer did not provide means to access the upper section of a freight trucks. Employees were in the process of installing water pipes for radiators, the employees were standing on the truck frames that is approximately three and half ft. above the concrete floor. On or about April 17,2019, as an employee stepped down the right foot became tangled in a wiring harness, this resulted in a fall and striking the head against of the concrete floor.
