29 CFR 1910.141(g)(2): Employees were permitted to consume food or beverage in area(s) exposed to toxic materials: a) Ace Anodizing & Impregnating, Inc., Hillside, IL- On June 4, 2019, employees were allowed to consume food and beverages at the work table located across the aisle from the anodizing lines, approximately five feet distance from line where hazardous chemicals including but not limited to phosphoric, sulfuric and nitric acids and hexavalent chromium were used. b) Ace Anodizing & Impregnating, Inc., Hillside, IL- On June 4, 2019, employees were allowed to consume food and beverages at the work table containing wires located against the wall in close proximity to the anodizing lines where hazardous chemicals, including but not limited to phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acids and hexavalent chromium were used. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
