A forklift operator was handling a pallet of layer pads when the pallet partially separated causing the load (layer pads) to shift and slide across the aisle into a worker's sorting station, striking the worker with a pallet in the right knee.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  a) Near Forklift Battery Charging Station - On or about May 30, 2019, the employer failed to make available for immediate emergency use an eyewash station capable of adequately flushing the eyes.  Employees required to maintain forklift batteries containing sulfuric acid were exposed to chemical burns when the empty Honeywell eyewash station did not contain eyewash solution.      Orbis RPM, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1910.151(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1271241, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 11, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1420 Vantage Way South, Suite 110, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
