There were several foot prints, a post hole digger and a shovel inside the trench. On or about 06/24/2019.

29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems. Location: 346 West 123rd Street, New York, NY. a) The competent person was not on site to inspect the excavation after it was dug 6 feet deep and employees worked the trench. On or about 06/24/2019. Harris Water Main & Sewer Contractors Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1076293, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/18/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 108-38 69th Avenue, Forrest Hills, NY 11735.
