29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A harness shall be worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift. a. At the above referenced inspection site, On or about June 20, 2019, employees were required to work from an aerial lift in the routine performance of their duties. The employer failed to ensure employees wore fall protection, thereby exposing employees to falls of approximately 9 feet.

At the above referenced inspection site, On or about June 20, 2019, employees were required to work from a scissor lift in the routine performance of their duties. The employer failed to ensure employees stood firmly on the floor of the basket, and did not sit or climb on the edge of the basket, thereby exposing employees to falls of approximately 9 feet.
