29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(iii): Special handtools for placing and removing material was not such as to permit easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone.  Such tools were used in lieu of other guarding required by this section:  At 615 Old Saint Mary's Road in Perryville, MO 63775 - On or about 06/24/2019, employees were exposed to in-going nip point hazards on a "Twin Screw Cooker" likely to cause amputation injuries as a result of special handtools (plunger) for placing cornmeal in the throat of the cooker was not such as to permit easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone.  Such plunging tool was used in lieu of other guarding required by this section and not used only to supplement protection provided.
