29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(9): The area around the top and/or bottom of a ladder was not kept clear: On 7/5/2019, Rodrigues Siding and Roofing LLC was performing roofing work on a residential building located at 17496 Princeton Ridge Court, Eureka, MO. An extension ladder was being used that did not have a clear area around the bottom of the egress area. A trailer used to collect old shingle material removed from the roof was positioned in a manner which made the two bottom steps of the ladder unusable.

Eye protection was not used by employees involved with using pneumatic nail guns during roofing operations. Rodrigues Siding and Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1359440, citation number 1, item number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on 04/15/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 2415 Lebanon Ave, Belleville, IL, 62221. Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems: On 7/5/2019, Rodrigues Siding and Roofing LLC was performing roofing work on a residential building located at 17496 Princeton Ridge Court, Eureka, MO. Employees were installing shingles approximately 10 to 25 feet above a lower level. Employees were not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. The employees were observed on the roof of the building without fall protection. Rodrigues Siding and Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1359440, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 04/15/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 2415 Lebanon Ave, Belleville, IL, 62221.
