29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): Surfaces. All surfaces shall be maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead: a) Luxottica Group, McDonough, GA - In the laboratory area, a wipe sample on an employees' face shield stored with lead/cadmium alloy pots and slag contained 82 micrograms (ug) of lead, on or about August 6, 2019. b) Luxottica Group, McDonough, GA - In the laboratory area, a wipe sample on an employees' face shield stored with lead/cadmium alloy pots and slag contained 82 micrograms (ug) of lead, on or about August 7, 2019. Employees PPE (face shields, gloves, aprons, etc.) were dirty and stored on top of and in the same area as liquid alloy. Luxottica Group was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1244841, citation number 1, item number 3a and was affirmed as a final order on 10/25/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 100 Greenwood industrial Parkway, McDonough, Ga 30253.
