29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. a) 30 Birdie Way Lawrence, NJ: On or about August 7, 2019 a DeCosta Enterprise, Inc. An employees was bracing the interior of the roof trusts. The employee was not using fall protection and were thus exposed to fall hazards of greater than 22 feet to the ground below. b) 48 Birdie Way Lawrence, NJ: On or about August 7, 2019 a DeCosta Enterprise, Inc. employee was working on top of the roof waiting for plywood to be delivered. The employee was not using fall protection and were thus exposed to fall hazards of greater than 12feet to the ground below. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
