29 CFR 1910.213(n)(1): Each planing, molding, sticking, or matching machine did not have all cutting heads, and saws if used, covered by a metal guard constructed of sheet metal not less than 1/16 inch in thickness, or if cast iron is used not less than three-sixteenths inch in thickness. a) Woods Planer: On September 30, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that the lower planer head of the Woods Planer was not covered by a metal guard as require by the standard.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: a) Saw mill near Woods Planner: On October 3, 2019 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to safety hazards such as, but not limited to; struck-by, punctured by, and injuries to the eyes, in that the employer allowed employees to use compressed air of an unknown PSI, and tube style air blow guns that had broken tips and were missing side vents designed to reduce air pressure.
