29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) Forklift Battery Charging Area: On or about October 11, 2019, an emergency eye wash station was not available for immediate use by employees tasked with adding fluids to forklift batteries which contain corrosive acid. (b) Mezzanine Production Area: On or about October 11, 2019, an emergency eye wash station was not available for immediate use by employees who work with corrosive cleaning and sanitizing fluids (Synergex and Advantis Soft Metal FC). The emergency eyewash to offer immediate first aid in the event of accidental splash of corrosive fluids into the eyes is located on the ground floor level.
