29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59)  At the residential construction site located at 2009 NE 112th Terrace in Kansas City, Missouri:  Employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to health hazards from dermal, ingestion, and inhalation exposure to hazardous chemicals.  The employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program to ensure that employees were aware of the hazards associated with the chemicals with which they work.  Hazardous chemicals used at the site included but were not limited to gasoline.

The employer did not establish and implement an accident prevention program where employees were exposed to fall hazards.  Century Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.21(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number1449375, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/26/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 10016 NW Skyview, Kansas City, MO.

Employee was observed installing wood materials using a nail gun without eye/face protection.  Century Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number1449375, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/26/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 10016 NW Skyview, Kansas City, MO.

Employees were observed accessing and egressing the roof by way of a portable ladder that did not extend 3 feet past landing.  Employees were exposed to a fall distance of greater than 14 feet eave to ground.  Century Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1340305, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/26/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 4612 NE Park Springs Court, Lees Summit, MO.
