29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operators and other employees from hazards created by ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Steven Robert Originals, LLC at 2780 Tower Road in Aurora, CO 80011: On or before February 1, 2020, the employer did not ensure that a KNS Rolling Machine was effectively guarded, in that a guard that protected employees from a pinch point between the cake molding roller and the transport roller was not installed when employees operated the equipment. On February 1, 2020 an employee operating the equipment sustained an amputation injury when two fingers on one hand were caught between the cake molding roller and the transport roller of KNS Rolling Machine, model # KRM 0300, manufactured by Krueger & Salecker. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards.
