29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  a- Building 700, 10 Harrison Drive, Northfield NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 11 feet to the ground surface below, when walking and working at a unprotected edges of a commercial structure's porches without the use of fall protection.  Condition observed on or about 03/18/20.   NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. The employer did not provide the employees with training to recognize and address the hazards associated with falls.  Condition observed on or about 03/18/20. 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(5)(i): Non-self-supporting ladders were not used at an angle such than the horizontal distance from the top support to the foot of the ladder way approximately one-quarter of the working length of the ladder (the distance along the ladder between the foot and the top support):  a- Building 700, 10 Harrison Drive, Northfield NJ: On or about 05/07/18 company workers were exposed to fall hazards when utilizing an aluminum extension ladders whose rise to run ratio was not 4 to 1 and, as such, was not having an angle of approximately 75 degrees from the horizontal .  Condition observed on or about 03/18/20.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
