29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following:  Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    Hangar 6, Aircraft 01: In the following locations, employees were performing maintenance operations on the aircraft greater than four feet above the lower level without fall protection: a)    Left side of fuselage: An employee was performing sweeping operations and exposed to an open-sided edge that was 84 inches above the lower level. b)    Right side of fuselage: Employee(s) were maintaining the de-ice boot and exposed to an open-sided edge that was 84 inches above the lower level.  c)     Left wing: An employee was removing parts from the nacelle and was exposed to an open-sided edge that was 66 inches above the lower level.  d)    Upper platform of mobile stand: An employee was maintaining the de-ice boot and exposed to an open-sided edge that was 105 inches above the lower level.  Employees were exposed to fall hazards.     Zenetex, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard [29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i)], which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1374761, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/04/2019, with respect to a workplace located at MCAS Miramar Hanger 4, San Diego, California 92145.
