29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Salco, Inc. at 5955 Sheridan Blvd. Arvada, CO 80111: On or before 9/29/2020 the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the Hardinge [model HLVH] manual lathe was not equipped with a chip guard. This condition exposed employees to flying chip hazards. Salco, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1204716, citation number 1, item number 3a, and was affirmed as a final order on 4/25/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 5955 Sheridan Blvd. Arvada, CO 80111.
