29 CFR  1910.22(c): Access and egress. The employer must provide, and ensure each employee uses, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces.  ALDI store No. 12 located at 3340 Three Oaks Rd., Cary, IL 60013, northwest back/stock room, roof access: on or about September 15, 2020, the employer failed to ensure that safe means of roof access and egress were provided. An employee was exposed to about 18 foot fall hazard likely to result in death or serious injury when transitioning from/to the vertical fixed ladder, through the hatch opening, and onto/from the flat roof landing.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
