Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) On top of house roof - On or about December 8, 2020 the employer did not provide fall protection for his employees that were performing work above 6 feet on a steep sloped roof, exposing employees to fall hazards.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. (a) Top of house on roof - On or about December 8, 2020 the employer did not provide fall protection training for employees that were working above 6 feet, exposing them to fall hazards.

29 CFR 1926.100(a):Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets. (a) On ground below roof - On or about December 8, 2020 the employer did not provide head protection to employees working on the ground cleaning up debris while employees worked overhead, exposing employees to struck by hazards.
