Guards shall be affixed to the machine where possible and secured elsewhere if for any reason attachment to the machine is not possible. The guard shall be such that it does not offer an accident hazard in itself.  a. Nichols Tillage Tools, Inc. at 312 Hereford Ave, Sterling, CO 80751: On and before December 8, 2020, the employer directed employees of Express Employment Professionals, LLC, temporary agency, to operate the Pacific Hydraulic OBL Press, Model 400 without the use of machine guards. The presence sensing control device present was not operating and an employee sustained a crushing injuries to their hands. This condition exposed employees to crushing hazards.  Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (See enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
